You could use Dragon Wyrmling stats, but reduce AC (to 10-12)/HP(to 10-13)/hit(to max of 5+)/damage(to 6-9 total), reduce saves by 2 (to account for the proficiency bonus), and make the breath attack weaker (2d6 +1d6 at levels 5/11/17 like a dragonborn). WebDragon Tamer Class I saw the Dragon Rider Paladin class here about a week ago; I personally thought it was a tad overpowered, but it inspired me to try to make a Dragon Rider class of my own. It took me a while, but I finally managed to come up with a Dragon Rider-esqe class that I would tentatively allow at my table.
