Actually, both headlight fuses **** the bed. They were intact, but the plastic bodies were melted and distorted, causing an intermittent condition to the driver side. As the bulb gets older, even more voltage is required to maintain the arc at higher temperatures. Eventually the bulb reaches a point where the voltage required exceeds the capability of the ballast so it shuts off.
