WebI once read how a baby being baptised could have a non-Catholic godparent as long as one godparent was Catholic, which was fine, but a local bishop had the right to omit the non-Catholic godparent/sponsor from the baptismal record. Respectfully, wouldn't it be better to only marry Catholics and to only allow Catholic godparents?
